Hotel Alex Caracas, Caracas

The hotel is located right in the center of Caracas, which holds the reputation of being an unsafe area at night. The rooms, though clean and comfortable, are rather dated. The service staff, while kind, seemed baffled by handling some situations. The dining experience is fine, although the location can be concerning for safety at night.

The hotel is located near lots of cheap cafes and food places with a couple of bars. The rooms have a rather romantic decoration; however, the lighting is poor, which may be an issue for paperwork or reading. On the downside, there was only one towel provided, the floor mat was very dirty, and the shower floor was slippery and dangerous. It would be safer to have wall bars for support.

I found the hotel to be conveniently located in the center of Caracas, close to Casa Simon Bolivar and various art galleries and museums.
